Rob Benzon Foundation

See?  I knew I would get all weepy when I tried to write this post… Lets start with this… nope, not working, still weepy… Ok, I am just going to lay out the facts…

The Rob Benzon Foundation was started as a way for his friends to honor him after he passed away.  They make grants to people and families that have encountered tragedy or loss or illness to help them get from point a to point b… Its a great organization, 100% of the profits go to people in need.  I came in contact with the Rob Benzon Foundation by way of Mark with San Diego Desserts and I know Mark and his company because they were the ones who donated a lot of the magnificent catering for my brother’s wedding six weeks before he died.  Sometimes in life you become connected to people who will forever change your view of the world and the kindness that exists there, and Mark is one of those people for me.  It was wonderful to be able to stand there with him and contribute.  Anyway… long story short, Richelle with Rob Benzon Foundation asked if I could photograph their fundraiser so I flew out, not knowing what to expect, and it was incredible!!! The food!  The drinks!  The art!! The fantastically fun red uplighting!!  And everyone was so nice.. they know how to throw a party.  It was an honor to be there.  I hope they invite me back, but invitation or not, I think I will have to go anyway!  Mark, you are great, thank you for being the example that you are.  Richelle and Company, can’t thank you enough for having me, it was great!

A special thanks to the incredibly talented Tessa of Grin and Share it Photography who came along and carried my junk for me, I love you tessa!!

Look at the cool display that The Abbey did for their table, they also contributed to Brett’s wedding, and I think they catered my sister Kaceys wedding as well.  Great great people!

SHERMAN!!! :) These are gorgeous shots, as I knew they would be. Thank you for letting me hang out with you for a bit while you were here and introducing me to such a wonderful organization. You are one of the most generous people I know, Carrie Butler, and you flying out here to voluntarily photograph this event is just a small testament to that! Love you!!!
